Because I am medically restricted from working, we are currently a single-income household—and unfortunately, Tuan does not have paid paternity leave. We’ve created this Daddy Bonding and Recovery fund to "buy" him time to be home. His presence isn't just for bonding; it's a necessity for my medical safety. Tuan’s presence is vital for my physical recovery and for managing the needs of our boys and our newest arrival. Our goal is to ensure he can be home for two weeks to support us and help with errands and follow-up appointments without us falling behind. Our Goal: $2,000 This covers two weeks of Tuan's gross wages plus travel expenses for follow-up medical appointments and errands during my recovery. "As much as we appreciate the gift of diapers, we’ve decided to set up this fund in place of physical boxes for a few practical reasons! Living in a 27-foot fifth-wheel trailer means our storage space is extremely limited—we simply don’t have the room to stockpile boxes in various sizes. It also costs about $1,000 to diaper a baby for their first year! This fund helps us manage that cost while allowing us to buy exactly what we need, in the correct size as he grows, without the stress of managing store return policies or cluttering our small home. We’re doing our best to grab a box of diapers or wipes with each of my husband’s paychecks to stay slightly ahead of the game. My mom has graciously let us use a bit of her closet for overflow storage, which has been such a blessing.
