"We became homeless in escape of an abusive father of baby at week 22. For 6 weeks I had temporary shelter with family while seeking resources for baby and I, but Mrs. Shatamia Webb has been our primary care team from week 15 and beyond. I am actively seeking other options for water birth through Medicaid to offset the remaining cost that Medicaid doesn't cover but am not sure if I'll be able to get into care in time for delivery. I've considered selling my car to cover the costs if I can't find another natural care team in time. A water birth is important to us because of spritual and religious beliefs, fear of traumatic delivery in hospital and pressure from staff to violate my boundaries of care, and the many unknowns of a new care team. Our required goal is $2,000 due by July 28, 2026. We are so sorry to ask for such a large amount by donation and completely understand the limitations of other's generosity.
