"While we already have most of the items we will need for our baby, what we (especially Holly) could really receive is postpartum care and support. Hopefully we will already naturally be surrounded by loved ones during this time, helping with meals, household tasks, emotional support, and just witnessing and honoring the new mother and baby that has been born, but the aid of professionals who have devoted themselves to specific styles bodywork and nourishment for postpartum will also be so beneficial. This is a sacred time that sets the foundation for the rest of the mother’s, father’s, and baby’s lives, and it will also be an extra tender time for Holly considering what she has endured."
