We are SO excited to welcome Baby Fleener in October! One fun surprise… we will not be finding out the gender until birth. Stressful? A little. Exciting? Absolutely!!!
We are already so grateful for the amazing village surrounding this baby with so much love, encouragement, prayers, support, and excitement. Truly, thank you for celebrating this season with us. It means more than we could ever put into words.
As many of you know, we are VERY thrifty people and absolutely love a good Facebook Marketplace find, garage sale gem, or secondhand treasure. Because of that, Baby Fleener is already VERY well stocked on gender neutral clothes from newborn through 6 months thanks to lots of pre-loved finds we are so excited about.
We put together a registry with items we think we might need… but who are we kidding? We are first time parents and have absolutely never done this rodeo before. HA. The registry is a mix of things we researched ourselves, recommendations from friends and family we trust, and must-have favorites from other parents. If you would like to gift something for Baby Fleener, we hope the registry is a helpful guide!
We have also already thrifted and collected quite a few baby items, including things like a baby bouncer, carriers, swaddles, a bottle washer, TONS of books, and more. So if you do not see something that feels “essential,” have no fear… there is a very good chance we already have it covered!
And for anyone who also loves a good deal as much as we do… secondhand treasures are MORE than welcomed/appreciated and very on brand for the Fleeners. We fully plan to continue thrifting and hunting for gems once Baby Fleener arrives and we know the gender. (That said, there are a few things probably best bought new… cue us not recommending Facebook Marketplace rectal thermometers. HA.)
More than anything, we just feel incredibly lucky to already have this baby surrounded by such thoughtful, generous, and supportive people. Baby Fleener already has the very best village, and we are so thankful for each of you.
