Update: Thank you all so much for stepping up to help me following the traumatic news I heard second hand from this website regarding the father’s desire for involvement. It was not the outcome I had been shared by him himself but I must respect his wishes. It takes a village, and I’ve clearly got one. Thank you so much as well for any and all contributions to the go fund me. Seven more months! I am barely showing, so it’s extremely hard to imagine, but here we are!

We are super excited to share the news about both the engagement and the baby. At this time, we will be doing this when we get back from our assignment. We are only sharing with close loved ones for now.. So if you got a notification, love ya!

It was never the thought or intention, but being together so often has brought us even closer, and I feel so lucky to have found my soul mate through a commonality. I don’t think either of us ever expected a work relationship to turn into something more beyond the usual expectation for our profession, and I don’t think anyone expected a baby. What luck we have to be given this blessing, and it all started with night time shifts spent together and planning our futures. Eventually, they intertwined and meshed so closely together that we couldn’t separate them, even when we tried. I never would have guessed that leaving DCF/EMS would have brought me here.

In the meantime, I thought I’d start our registry. If you’re reading this, please keep it on the down-low until we make the big announcement. I’m only sharing the link with our phone contacts for now. Some people are not aware yet and we would like to tell them in person to minimize issues and avoid miscommunications, which is likely long distance, because of the complex nature.

Here are some things we’re hoping for. We have some hand-me-downs from our older kids, but we’d love to start fresh with our new, unexpected, and well-loved family. Out with the old, in with the new, right? Here’s to leaving behind what doesn’t serve us and moving on to bigger and better things. Mistakes always happen for a reason. We are so ready!

When we announce, we’ll also reveal the gender. The older kids are aware and thrilled about the new arrival. Let us know if you have any questions.

I’ve added a few items for hiking with them. I’m not sure how to fit a truck for a car seat, so I included one that works for my car. Any tips or help would be awesome!
