If you wish to gift clothing, here is a size guide for the first year:
* NB / 0–3M: Long-sleeve onesies, sleepers, gowns, pants, sweaters/cardigans
* 3–6M: Mostly spring-weather clothes
* 6–9M: Summer clothes — short sleeves, rompers, dresses, lightweight outfits
* 9–12M: Fall clothes — long sleeves, pants, sweaters
* 12M: winter outfits for the following year
