"🩷PLEASE READ🩷 Dear family and friends, as we prepare to welcome our baby girl, Kaden and I want to ensure that I am able to take the necessary time off to bond with and care for our baby without the added stress of financial worries. Although Kaden's job allows for him to take a lengthy period of paid time off, I unfortunately am not as lucky. I am eligible to take up to 8 weeks off--2 weeks PAID and 6 weeks at 50% of my pay to care for and bond with my newborn baby. Under the paid family leave policy, I am able to use my personal accumulated PTO hours should I wish for further paid time off, however this would not only grant me just a few more days but it's also not leaving me any sick time for myself should I need a sick/personal day in the future. Maternity leave I believe is a precious time for me as a new mama and my family to adjust, recover and build a strong foundation for our future. Taking extended leave often comes with financial challenges, especially when regular income is impacted. To help us focus on what truly matters--our baby's health and happiness--we've set up this small cash fund to help support us in this special time. Your generous contributions will help cover expenses during my maternity leave, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to this beautiful brand new tiny human and this new chapter Kaden and I so eagerly anticipate."
