In Greek mythology Atlas is the leader of the rebellion of the Titans against Zeus and as a consequence he bears the celestial sphere on his shoulders. We chose the name Atlas not only because of our deep interest in Greek mythology, but because of his representation of strength, endurance, leadership, and fearlessness. Atlas’s legacy continues making him known as a master of astronomy and navigation, he is sometimes considered the original creator of celestial spheres, providing the namesake for maps.
