Thank you for celebrating and loving our beautiful boy. Baby Axel is already so lucky. We kindly ask that you don’t purchase socks, shoes, or footie clothing. Axel was diagnosed with bilateral clubbed feet. Our doctors don’t think it’s severe but the degree in which his feet are turned can be known until birth. With this information given to us we do expect that he will be in leg casts and possibly special boots to help correct his feet. Doctors are pretty certain that he will be able to run about and will be ‘jumping off the couch’ in due time. Other than his feet, we are told that he is perfectly fine. He is already so very active and very strong. Please keep in mind when purchasing clothing for his first few month of life that the leg parts need to be stretchy, not tight, and open toe to ensure it fits over the casts. We are so thankful for every purchase and every prayer.
