Bre & Andrew's Foster Baby Registry
We are so excited to share with you about something we have been praying about and preparing for over the past several months. We are in the process of becoming certified foster parents! If everything continues on schedule, we expect to be open for placement October 15th. Our home will be open to receive a child two years old or younger.
Foster care exists to provide a safe, temporary home for children whose families are going through difficult circumstances. The goal of foster care is not adoption, but reunification whenever possible–supporting parents as they work toward stability so their children can safely return home. In the meantime, foster families step in to provide love, safety, and stability during a season of uncertainty.
As we have prayed about how we can live out our faith and serve vulnerable families in our community, we have felt the Lord leading us toward this step. Our heart is not only to care for children, but also to support and honor their biological families, believing that every family deserves encouragement, dignity, and hope. We see this as one small way we can live out the biblical call to care for the vulnerable and practice hospitality with our lives.
Because foster care is truly a community effort, we wanted to invite you into this journey with us. The three biggest ways you can support us are:
Get attached.
One of the most meaningful ways you can support us is by loving any child who enters our home as if they were our own. Children in foster care often step into homes during confusing and painful seasons, and they deserve to be surrounded by steady, unconditional love. Our hope is that the child who stays with us would feel not only welcomed by us, but also embraced by the wider community of people who love and support our family. Our prayer is that we would all love this little one deeply and not be afraid to get attached, because that is the kind of love every child deserves.
Pray for us.
Please pray for wisdom, patience, and open hearts as we prepare our home. Pray for the child who may come into our care and for their family–that they would experience healing, restoration, and support.
If you’d like, help us prepare.
We have created a small registry with some of the items we will need to care for a little one. If you would like to contribute, we would be incredibly grateful.

We also know some people may wonder about our future family plans. While reunification is our goal in foster care, should the need for permanency arise, we are open to adoption. We also plan to have biological children, but we felt called not to wait to step into foster care and trust that God will continue to guide our family story.
Thank you for loving us and walking alongside us. We are excited, a little nervous, and deeply hopeful about the ways God might use us to care for children and families who need support during a hard season. We are grateful for each of you.
With love,
Bre, Andrew, & Finley
