Note from Cate and Scott:

"Hi 💛 if you’re reading this, you’re part of our village, and we’re so grateful for you. Whether you’re here to celebrate with us, send a little love, or help us get through those first few weeks, it means the world. What would help us A LOT: pre-made food In the early weeks with a newborn, a warm, nourishing meal we don’t have to think about is one of the best gifts we could ask for. You can contribute to our Meal Fund, or cook something and drop it off. If you’re cooking, we’ve gathered some of our favorite postpartum-friendly recipes below. They’re all freezer-friendly, so single or double portions labeled with the date and reheating instructions are perfect. *Recipe ideas* Soups, broths, and porridges Bone broth: https://slowcookergourmet.net/homemade-bone-broth-in-the-slow-cooker/ Butternut squash and carrot soup with ginger: https://www.peanutbutterrunner.com/butternut-squash-carrot-soup/ Chicken congee with ginger and scallion: https://somuchfoodblog.com/chicken-congee/ Pumpkin congee: https://fullofplants.com/pumpkin-congee-rice-porridge/ Ginger chicken and vegetable soup: https://www.bakedbymelissa.com/blog/savory-recipes/healing-chicken-soup Hearty mains Beef stew with root vegetables: https://therealfooddietitians.com/slow-cooker-beef-stew/ Red lentil dal: https://www.thechoppingblock.com/recipes/red-lentil-dal Sweet potato and black bean chili: https://theblondcook.com/wprm_print/sweet-potato-and-black-bean-chili Spinach stuffed shells: https://www.ahealthysliceoflife.com/spinach-ricotta-stuffed-shells-bulk-recipe-for-freezing/ Individual shepherd’s pie: https://soupercubes.com/blogs/news/shepherds-pie-w-beef-freezer-friendly-recipe Grab-and-go Breakfast burritos: https://www.butterandbaggage.com/breakfast-burritos/ Sweet potato and sausage egg muffins: https://www.nourishmovelove.com/sweet-potato-brussel-sprout-turkey-sausage-muffins/ Or whatever else you got in your recipe book...we are open!
