"At the 20 week anatomy scan we found out that Wesley has a congenital heart defect known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Complex or HLHC. Meaning the left side of his heart is smaller than it should be causing the right side of his heart to compensate for what the left side is not doing. He also has a narrowed aortic valve (the main valve that pumps blood from his heart to the rest of his body). With finding out this news, we have learned that Wesley will be undergoing surgery within the first week of his life, and will then have a NICU stay for 1-2 months after, depending on his healing. If you feel led to contribute, we would be so grateful. More than anything we ask for prayers for Wes’ healing and road to recovery."
