"Hi Family and Friends! As our family prepares to welcome our second baby in July 2025, we are exploring ways to ensure that both parents can fully embrace this transformative experience without the added stress of financial constraints. Since mom has not been employed at her current job for a full year, she will only qualify for six weeks of parental leave at half salary. This limited time does not provide sufficient opportunity for both physical recovery and mental adjustment to the new family dynamics. To bridge this gap, we are establishing a Parental Leave Fund aimed at extending the leave to a total of 12 weeks. This additional funding will enable mom to take the necessary time to bond with our newborn, recover from childbirth, and prepare mentally for her return to the workforce. The fund will cover the difference in income during the extended leave period, allowing us to focus on our family’s well-being without the financial burden that often accompanies parental transitions. By investing in this fund, we hope to create a nurturing environment for our new baby while ensuring that both parents can confidently and positively reenter the workforce when the time comes.
