Elora's Baby Registry
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with us. We've put a lot of thought into building this registry and wanted to share a few things that will help you shop with confidence.
We're Not Finding Out the Sex
We are keeping the sex of the baby a surprise, so we are not registered for anything gender-specific. When it comes to clothing and gear, we prefer gender-neutral colors and tones such as white, cream, ivory, beige, tan, gray, green, yellow, warm earth tones, and soft neutrals.
Please avoid: Pink and blue specifically, and anything with gender-specific language or themes
Clothing
Clothing Sizes by Season —
Baby is due October 30th. Here is a simple guide to how old the baby is expected to be at each season:
Fall (Oct–Nov): Age - Newborn–1mo Size-Newborn or 0–3M
Winter (Dec –Feb ): Age - 2–4 months Size - 0–3M or 3–6M
Spring (Mar–May): Age - 5–7 months Size - 6–9M
Summer (Jun–Aug): Age - 8–10 months Size - 9–12M
Fall (Sep–Nov): Age - 11–13 months Size - 12–18M
Our Material and Certification Preferences
We have prioritized non-toxic, natural fiber products throughout this registry. If you are purchasing something not listed here — especially clothing, bedding, or baby gear — here is what we look for:
For clothing and soft goods (blankets, sheets, towels):
GOTS Certified Organic — the gold standard for organic textiles, covers both the fiber and the manufacturing process
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 — certifies the finished fabric is free of harmful chemical residues, even if the fiber itself is conventional or processed (important for bamboo and bamboo rayon items, which are not as natural as they sound without this certification)
For furniture, hard goods, and gear:
GREENGUARD Gold — independently tests for low chemical emissions (VOCs)
For mattresses and sleep products:
MADE SAFE, EWG Verified, or GOTS — the highest standard for sleep surface safety
We prefer: 100% organic cotton, linen, or OEKO-TEX certified materials
We avoid: Synthetic fragrances, added flame retardant chemicals, PVC, BPA, and PFAS in any product
If you are unsure whether something meets these preferences, a gift card to Babylist or a contribution toward a larger item (see below) is always a wonderful option.
A Note on Larger Items
Several items on this registry are significant investments and are included as group gift options. If you would like to contribute toward one of these items rather than purchase something independently, a financial contribution toward that specific item is always welcome and just as meaningful as any gift. Babylist allows group gifting and cash contributions directly through the registry — you're welcome to use that feature for any item marked as a group gift.
On Diapers and Wipes
Diapers and wipes in any size are always welcome and will absolutely be used. We have listed our preferred brands, but any fragrance-free, dye-free option is appreciated. If you'd like to give diapers, Size 1 and Size 2 are the most useful — we will move through newborn size very quickly. Multiples of the same size are completely intentional and welcome.
One Last Thing
This registry also serves as our own personal shopping and research reference list, so you may notice some items we plan to purchase ourselves. Please don't feel any obligation to buy everything listed.
Thank you for celebrating with us. ❤️Bundled picks made to gift
