After 12 years of thinking we wouldn’t be able to have another baby, this little guy came into our lives as the most unexpected and beautiful surprise. 🥹🖤 We truly never imagined we’d be starting this journey again, which makes his arrival feel even more special. And just in time for all the Holidays. 🎃🦃🎄🥳

This pregnancy hasn’t been the easiest. Early on, I experienced a subchorionic hemorrhage and was told to take it easy and stay home, which meant putting a lot of normal life on hold. We’ve also been navigating the challenge of trying to qualify for medical insurance and finding ways to manage prenatal care without the coverage we hoped to have. It’s been stressful and, at times, overwhelming, but we’ve done everything we can to keep moving forward and prepare for our little guy.

This time around is also bittersweet because my mom passed away during the COVID years. I always imagined what it would be like to experience becoming a mother again with her here, so going through this pregnancy without her has been one of the harder parts of this journey. I know she would have been so excited to meet him. 🖤

Now we’re getting ready to welcome our little October baby — a spooky-season baby joining a family that loves all things Halloween, alternative, punk rock, anime, 49ers, Harry Potter, Disney, and a little bit of weird. 🎃🖤👻
