Flowers-Farady Baby Registry
Hey Beloveds,
You're getting this registry because you are an important part of our lives, and soon you will be a special part of our baby's community too. We have some big updates that we thought we’d have more time to plan for, but life is LIFE-ING and we are out here in the deep, surfing the waves, and surrendering to the undertows. Soooo….guess what? Kingston was pregnant with our firstborn! And then Kingston’s water broke early, and after an intense emergency C-section, our amazing little bull baby was born!
Chiron Selah (“shy-ron say-la”) Flowers-Farady arrived on the afternoon of May 2nd, at just 26 weeks, he was a very tiny but incredibly mighty micro-preemie (the NICU calls him the unit’s “fan favorite”--ha!). His birth was one of the most frightening moments of our lives, but we’ve been held every step of the way by an extraordinary team at Albany Medical Center and uplifted by the love and support pouring in from all of you. Since April, the hospital has become our home and we’ve been living here as this chapter continues to unfold with courage, care, and hope. It has been awe-inspiring, terrifying, heartbreaking, and uplifting every day for us. This kid has already been through so much, and we couldn’t be more in love with him.
Not only did our firstborn arrive way earlier than we ever imagined–but he also moved us to get married! So, we eloped in Washington Park, right near the hospital. After nearly 13 years of love, it was our baby Chi (“shy”) who inspired us to say “I do,” before a volunteer NICU chaplain officiating and their 18 year old child as our witness. It rained that day, but we were told rain brings good things, and we couldn’t be more grateful or in love.
So fam, we were expecting Chi to have an August arrival and thought we would have more time to get this out, but we now know we gotta prepare for anything! We’ve been here for over two months and are prepared to be here for another month plus, but could also be discharged at any time. So here is our baby/wedding registry. Any and all contributions are so appreciated, and we would love secondhand items as well! Some of the bigger items have a group gift option, so you can throw down partially if you feel moved. Yall know us- we’re not a fan of gender restrictions in this family, so all genders of clothes and toys are welcome and appreciated! We wanna give Chi all the options we can till we discover what Chi likes! And, if now isn’t the time there is no pressure to participate in the registry, obvi. We already feel very supported by you, and are so dang lucky to have such loving and fierce people in our circle.
Chiron is the toughest little cookie and we can’t wait for our sweet fighter to meet you.
Love Always,
Amaryllis & KingstonA Little Something Extra✨
