Welcome to our Babylist!

This registry may look a little green, gray, brown, and yellow—but that’s because Travis and I are keeping the baby’s sex a surprise! Everyone who knows me knows I love allllll the colors of the rainbow, but our incredible midwife team agrees: surprises help make unmedicated labor a little more magical (and a little more manageable!).

Over the years, we’ve had the joy of loving and raising so many children through foster care—including five precious infants. That experience taught us a lot about what babies actually need vs. what we think they need. After trying for over five years for a baby of our own, and experiencing a devastating miscarriage last year, we chose to pass on all of our baby gear to other foster families in need throughout our community. Now, with grateful hearts, we are starting from scratch.

Our little one will be sharing a room with us for the first year or more, so we’re keeping things cozy and minimal. Once baby grows (and we find out who they are!), we’ll make long-term plans—maybe Rico gets a roommate, maybe we build on, or maybe a big move is in the cards. Who knows? For now, we’re soaking in the beauty of this moment, and we’re so thankful you’re here to be a part of it.
