Things Needed to Get Charley Home. 💙

"Our little man was born in Philadelphia, on January 9th, weighing in at 3lbs 12oz. We were chosen to be his parents on 1/24 and the three of us became a family on 1/26. As many of you know, we started the adoption application process over the summer. We matched with Charley the same day that we were finally approved. Needless to say, the last few days have been a whirlwind. Charley’s had a pretty rough start medically. But he’s a total champ and progressing every day. He’s receiving excellent care in the NICU, and charming all the nurses, but it’s unclear when he will be ready to be discharged. We’ve been told it’s likely to be a few more weeks. We will be staying with him in Philly until he’s ready to break out of the NICU. After discharge we’ll be cuddling up in an AirBnB until the legal paperwork is processed and we can come home to VT as a family. We’re so grateful for our village! And we can’t wait for you to meet our brave guy! 💙"
