Hilkey Family - Twins 2026

Note from Marissa and Malachi:

"As we welcomed our twins into the world—a precious baby boy, Maor and baby girl, Margalit—our family entered a season far more difficult than we ever could have anticipated. What began as preparations for their arrival quickly became a whirlwind of medical emergencies, recovery, and continued displacement from our home. Because of severe roof and water damage, our house still requires extensive repairs, and our family remains in an Airbnb while the work continues. At the same time, I underwent an emergency C-section to deliver our daughter. In the midst of those tense and emotional hours, Maor was taken to the NICU and later transported to another hospital after doctors discovered a heart condition. He is now receiving specialized care in the CICU. As we navigate my recovery, care for our newborn daughter, and spend countless hours at the hospital with our son, my husband has also had to devote significant time to managing repairs and unexpected issues at home—often at the expense of time he would otherwise spend working. Between temporary housing, mounting medical concerns, home repairs, and the many unforeseen expenses that come with welcoming twins, this season has brought tremendous financial strain and emotional stress. Having already experienced a four-week NICU stay with our now toddler, we understood that plans can change in an instant. Even so, we never imagined facing so many challenges at once while adjusting to life as a family of seven. Any support toward temporary housing, home repairs, medical-related travel and expenses, or the unexpected costs that have come with this season would be an incredible blessing to our family. More than anything, we are deeply grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and generosity as we care for our children and trust God through the uncertainty ahead."

Note from Marissa and Malachi:

"Could be anything and everything from toddler entertaining, baby snuggling, home reno help, mowing, tending to the garden, canning, etc. This busy house and homestead could always use another pair of helpful hands especially with these two new additions joining us this Summer. Thank you!!"
