"As adoption is a more of an unplanned/last minute sort of a thing, we also created a cash fund if you’d like to contribute that way, especially as this is our second child and we do already have a lot of things. This helps us cover travel expenses (flights, hotel, food, gas, etc) emergency needs (like if we have to get the baby suddenly and need diapers/clothes/etc right away) or just other random items we might not have but can’t necessarily register for (like if we are matched with a boy and only have girl clothes, etc).
