We are so excited to expand our family with twin BOYS! While this is a joyous time, these boys are coming with a lot of extra hurdles as they are mono/ mono twins. This means they share one placenta and one amnionic sac which occurs in less than 0.1% of all pregnancies and comes with a lot of extra risk. Because of this, I will be admitted to the hospital at 24 weeks (early July) for monitoring with the goal of keeping them cooking until 32 weeks (early September). We are definitely anticipating some NICU time after their arrival. We are so appreciative of all the support we've received so far and more than any physical gift; prayers are what we need the most at this time!
