Valerie and Isaac's Baby Registry

Thank you to everyone who has already shown us tons of love and support thus far. We are so excited to become a family of three, introduce our baby girl to all our favorite fandoms, and of course show her the magic of a Disney trip!

The name Kairi Dawn Hartunen represents special meaning to us as well as the values we hope to foster. Kairi comes from a character from the game Kingdom Hearts, which is a disney themed video game. Isaac grew up with this game and has a deep love for it, and in turn I also have come to enjoy all its components. Within the game, Kairi is referred to as a "Princess of Heart" due to her pureness and having no darkness in her heart. She eventually becomes a Guardian of Light and values friendship, self-discovery, and seeking to help other worlds. The name Kairi is from japanese origin, combining the characters for "sea" and "village".

The middle name Dawn was chosen out of love for the anime series One Piece. In the series, the "Will of D" is an inherited will to those who bear the initial "D" in their name. Characters with this initial are known to exhibit fearlessness and inclination for action that often causes them to be the center of world shaking events. They look to confront the World Government nobility who deem themselves as gods. These characters are believed to help bring about liberation and usher in a new dawn to the world.

The nursery has an "enchanted forest" theme, combining elements of calming nature with whimsy, magic, and fantasy. Purples and greens are the main part of the color scheme.
