We are beyond excited to welcome a baby boy into our family! 💙 Our sweet rainbow baby is healthy, growing perfectly, and already so loved.

There is a very special story behind the name we have chosen for our son.

53 years ago, my late grandmother, Mary, was pregnant with my dad and had the beautiful name Michael Shaun picked out for him. In the end, she chose to name him after the man who adopted him and stepped up to raise him as his own, a meaningful tribute to the father who chose to love and raise a child who was not biologically his.

After my grandmother passed away, I always held onto the thought that if I were ever blessed with a son, it would be so special to give him the name she once dreamed of using.

Five years later, here we are, blessed with our rainbow baby boy. What once was simply a name chosen by his great-grandmother will now become a part of our son’s story.

One day, I get to tell him that his great-grandmother, whom he never had the chance to meet, helped choose his name long before he was ever born. That is a gift that means more to us than words can express.
